How to Prepare Before Your Tan:
Getting your skin prepped properly makes all the difference in how your tan looks and lasts. Follow these simple steps to ensure a smooth, even, and long-lasting glow ✨
24 HOURS BEFORE YOUR TAN:
Gently exfoliate your skin to remove any dry or dead skin
Pay extra attention when exfoliating dry areas like elbows, knees, hands, and feet for the most even results.
Shave or wax at least 24 hours before your appointment
Avoid heavy oils or products that leave residue on the skin
Avoid retinols/retinoids.
Exfoliating acids (like AHAs or BHAs) can sometimes affect how evenly your tan develops, so it’s best to avoid them within 24 hours of your appointment.
DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT:
Be ready with clean and product-free skin!
Do NOT wear:
lotion
oils
deodorant
perfume
makeup
Prepare loose, dark clothing to wear afterwards.
Avoid tight fabrics like leggings, bras, or socks right after your tan
RIGHT BEFORE YOUR TAN:
Make sure your skin is completely dry.
I will provide barrier cream for hands, feet, and dry areas.
Your comfort matters. This is a judgment-free, relaxed experience
QUICK REMINDERS:
Nails are totally fine, your tan will not affect them.
Hair can be worn however you’re most comfortable.
Staying well-hydrated before and after your tan helps your skin hold color more evenly and for longer-lasting results.
Don’t stress. Everything will be guided step-by-step during your appointment.
Come relaxed, clean, and ready to glow. I’ll take care of the rest 💗
