Your Glow Aftercare Guide:

Following these important instructions will help your tan develop beautifully and last up to 10 days!

Your First Rinse:

After your recommended developing time (different for signature and rapid tans) it is time to rinse off the bronzer.

  • Use lukewarm water only.

  • Do NOT use shampoo, body wash, or any soap/skincare products yet! (this is very important)

  • You will physically see the brown bronzer rinsing off in the shower, this is completely normal and expected.

  • Your tan is not fully developed, so it is completely normal to not be as dark as you want yet. Your tan is still developing on your physical skin.

When to Use Soap:

  • Do not use any soap until your second shower (usually 12-24 hours after your first rinse).

  • After 12 hours= lighter, more natural looking glow.

  • After 24 hours= deeper, more developed tan.

  • Using soap too early can affect how deep your tan develops!

Moisturizing:

  • A good time to start moisturizing is 3-4 hours after your first rinse, to avoid dry skin and uneven development.

  • Use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer.

  • Apply moisturizer 1-2 times daily, this helps extend your tan.

  • Avoid use of products with heavy oils or harsh ingredients.

What to Avoid:

  • Exfoliating or scrubbing (before you are ready for your tan to fade).

  • Long and hot baths

  • Chlorine in pools or hot tubs (at least for 48-72 hours after your first shower with soap)

  • Oil-based products

  • Aggressive shaving.

Daily Care:

  • After showers, pat skin. Don’t rub!

  • Moisturize daily (again, very important)

  • Stay hydrated!!

  • Avoid exfoliating/using exfoliating products too early.

Fading and Tan Maintenance:

  • Your tan will naturally fade as your skin renews itself. To maintain your glow, we recommend booking your next appointment every 7–10 days (depending on your skin type and desired depth).
